Featured Sailor of the Week: Mac Agnese

As soon as he could walk, Mac began to show signs of the athlete he would become. Before moving to Argentina at the age of five, he was already participating in several sports, including swimming and soccer. During his three years in Argentina, Mac continued to develop as an athlete. In the same club where his father grew up sailing, he started his career as a sailor, while actively competing in many others sports as well, such as rugby, soccer, tennis, swimming, and taekwondo.

In 2002, his family relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he made the decision to dedicate his time to sailing. He joined the Lauderdale Yacht Club sailing program and since then has been traveling all over the country and the world representing both the USA and LYC in many different disciplines. As cross training, Mac has continued to swim, play soccer, and do other activities, such as skating, skurfing, and cross fit.
