Our Training Schedule

Over the next year, our training schedule will incorporate catameran sailing in 18 foot cats to 40 footers.  With guidance from US Sailing Team Coach, Leandro Spina (former Tornado sailor and coach), we have put together the following schedule which will evolve as we progress.

June 20-28                             F18 Practice in Santa Barbara, CA
June 30-July 1                       Alter Cup Area J Qualifier at ABYC
July 2-10                                F18 Practice in Santa Barbara, CA
August 22-26                          Melges 24 North Americans in San Francisco
September 7-15                     F18 World Championship at ABYC
October 5-7                            Melges 20 Nationals in San Francisco
November 15-18                    Alter Cup (US Multihull National Championship) in Florida
August-October 2013             Youth America’s Cup

  1. There is a another good catamaran race right in San Francisco Bay on June 18-23 that should be added to your schedule The Hobie 16 North Americans at Sausalito Yacht Club. There are a few strong youth teams competing there too.

    • Thanks! We will definitely look into that! Several of the guys will be getting back from ICSA College Nationals the week before that, and I’ll actually be graduating (!!!), but we’ll see if we can make it happen! The more cat experience the better. You don’t happen to be related to Eric Raybon do you? Oliver and I went to ISAF Youth Worlds with him.

      • Yes, I’m his father and also met you guys at ISAF’s in 2005. Eric and I will be in Sausalito for the Hobie 16’s. Hope you guys can make it. It’s a tough bunch to sail against.
