Marly Isler

Marly started sailing in San Diego, California in the Naples Sabot when she was 7. After racing sabots, she has gone on to race a variety of different boats: CFJs, Club 420s, International 420s, 29ers, Lasers, and Etchells.

Marly graduated from Francis Parker High School in 2012, where she sailed for the varsity team. During her time there, she twice led her team to win the Women’s High School Invite, a national regatta.

Her junior year summer, Marly traveled to La Rochelle, France and sailed the Junior European Championship in the International 420 for Team USA. In 2011, she was selected to be on the US Olympic Development Team.

When the America’s Cup World Series was in San Diego, she sailed one race on the AC45 Team Korea skippered by Chris Draper.

Marly will be attending Yale University and will be a member of their nationally ranked sailing team.
